Engage in Horticultural Therapy at the Scotch Plains Library
On Thurs, May 23 @ 7 pm, engage your five senses with plants in a sensory awakening session.
People respond to plants. Plants respond to people. People respond to the seasons and life cycles. The seasons, in turn, respond to our care.
On Thursday, May 23 at 7 pm, join Laura DePrado, Registered Horticultural Therapist and President of Final Touch Plantscaping, LLC, in engaging your five senses with plants in a sensory awakening session. Learn about the history and benefits of plants through Horticultural Therapy, a growing field and practice for physical, social, and psychological evidenced-based benefits. This is a highly interactive, engaging, hands-on program using plant materials while creating an individualized take-home project. No green thumb is required! Just bring your curiosity!
Space is limited. Registration is required. Click here to register.
