SPFYBA welcomes back Tony Picaro to our General Association Meeting tonight at 7:30pm in the SPF HS Cafeteria. Tony will present on proper hitting techniques, and his proven approach to hitting development is a MUST SEE!! As with Tony’s other recent presentations (pitching in Jan., and fielding in Feb.), this is a great opportunity to learn critical teaching techniques to doing one of the most difficult things in sports -- hitting a baseball. This seminar is tailored for coaches, not youth players themselves.
Tony Picaro is a 3x Star-Ledger HS Coach of the Year, former varsity baseball coach for Linden. He won 3 State Group championships in 1979, '81 and '83, finishing #1 overall in State of NJ in '79 and '81. He is considered the best pitching instructor in Union Co. and a top all around baseball skills instructor. Tony works with many of our local players, and has been an instructor at the Ballpark in Springfield for the past 12 years.
