Family Ties: May Movies & Showtimes at the Scotch Plains Library

Join fellow movie lovers at the Scotch Plains Public Library each Friday at noon for Friday Films. In May, the library will be showing movies that focus on “Family Ties.” No registration is necessary.

May 3: Boy Erased (R, 115 min)

A young man is sent to gay conversion camp by his staunchly religious parents after a traumatic event leads him to be 'outed'.

May 10: Instant Family (PG-13, 117 min)

An idealistic couple find themselves overwhelmed when they open their home to a foster teenager and her younger siblings.

May 17: Nobody’s Fool (R, 110 min)

A successful business woman's life is turned upside down when her sister gets out of jail. The sisters bond as they plot their revenge against her catfishing boyfriend.

May 24: Leave No Trace (PG, 109 min)

A veteran faces his trauma when he and his daughter rejoin society after living off the grid.

May 31: Ben is Back (R, 103 min)

A woman's addict son returns home on Christmas Eve, bringing a promise of sobriety that is soon tested.
