Fanwood Local Among 6 Arrested For Shoplifting In Clark

Clark Police also reported making arrests for drug possession, driving under the influence, child endangerment and warrants.

CLARK, NJ — A Fanwood local was among six people to be arrested for shoplifting at Clark stores, police report.

On Aug. 22 at 9:37 a.m.: In the vicinity of Brant Avenue, police arrested Sara Connors, 23, Middletown for shoplifting from the Acme Supermarket at 1060 Raritan Road. She was subsequently released on her own recognizance pending a court date. Police Officer Michael Somma was the arresting officer.

On Aug. 27 at 6:43 a.m.: At the Middlesex County Jail, police arrested Kevin Brake, 31, of Parlin for shoplifting merchandise valued at $1,260.03 from the Rite Aid Pharmacy at 140 Central Ave. He remained lodged at the Middlesex County Jail pending a court date. Det. Bruce McDonald was the arresting officer.

On Aug. 28 at 11:02 a.m.: Police arrested Annmarie Erickson, 52, of Fanwood for shoplifting merchandise valued at $88.48 from the Whole Foods Supermarket at 1255 Raritan Road. She was subsequently released on her own recognizance pending a court date. Police Officer Ted McKeown was the arresting officer.

On Aug. 29 at 6:48 p.m.: Police arrested David Ellner, 55, of Cranford for shoplifting merchandise valued at $121.26 from the Whole Foods Supermarket at 1255 Raritan Road. He was subsequently released on his own recognizance pending a court date. Police Officer Joshua Weber was the arresting officer.

On Sept. 1 at midnight: Police arrested Kathleen Sullivan, 49, of Garwood for shoplifting merchandise valued at $618.03 from the Target Department Store at 45 Central Ave. She was subsequently released on her own recognizance pending a court date. Police Officer Mateusz Pazdan was the arresting officer.

On Aug. 22 at 9:30 a.m.: Police took a report of criminal mischief to a motor vehicle that was parked at 1255 Raritan Road. The incident is under investigation. Police Officer Sergio Henriques was the investigating officer.

On Aug. 24 at 10:18 p.m.: In the vicinity of the Garden State Parkway northbound connector, police arrested Jonathan Ramirez, 22, of Bloomfield on an outstanding warrant from Essex County for contempt of court. He was subsequently transported to the Essex County Jail. Police Officer Joshua Weber was the arresting officer.

On Aug. 28 at 5:13 p.m.: In the vicinity of the Garden State Parkway northbound, police arrested Rafael Gastao, 30, of Newark for possession of controlled dangerous substance(CDS). He was subsequently released on his own recognizance pending a court date. Police Officer Mark Detore was the arresting officer.

On Aug. 29 at 2:21 a.m.: In the vicinity of Westfield Avenue and Liberty Street, police arrested Iryna Yelenych, 35, of Linden for child welfare endangerment. She was subsequently released on her own recognizance pending a court date. Sgt. Joseph Teston was the arresting officer.

On Sept. 1 at 3:05 a.m.: In the vicinity of 76 Central Ave., police arrested Chester Johnson, 39, of New Brunswick for DUI. He was subsequently released pending a court date. Police Officer Joshua Weber was the arresting officer.

On Sept. 1 at 11:50 a.m.: In the vicinity of Broadway and Fulton Street, police arrested Virginia Wilson, 59, of Rahway on an outstanding warrant from Rahway for contempt of court. She was subsequently turned over to the Rahway Police Department. Police Officer Alex Ruiz was the arresting officer.

On Sept. 3 at 1:44 a.m.: In the vicinity of Lake Avenue, police arrested Ihor Vasechko, 32, of Newark for DUI. He was subsequently released pending a court date. Police Officer Michael DeAngelo was the arresting officer.

On Sept. 3 at 4:56 p.m.: In the vicinity of Raritan Road, police arrested Reginald Lewis, 25, of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on an outstanding warrant from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania for contempt of court. He was subsequently transported to the Union County Jail. Also arrested were Jermaine Lewis, 19, of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania for forgery, theft by deception and obstruction of justice and Jahill Williams, 19, of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania for forgery and theft by deception. Lewis and Williams were subsequently released on their own recognizance pending court dates. Police Officer Alex Yanes and Det. Bruce McDonald were the arresting officers.
