Fanwood Offers Special Storm Debris Curbside Pickup

This one-time, town-wide pickup will collect any storm-damaged household items on Saturday.

FANWOOD, NJ — Fanwood will offer a special storm debris curbside pickup on Saturday to pick up storm-damaged household items.

The Borough of Fanwood's contractor, Regional Industries, anticipates completing this one-time, town-wide pickup in one day. Residents are asked not to park near the piles of debris so the contractor may effectively complete the pickup.

The contractor will NOT pick up white goods (appliances, including washers, dryers, water heaters, refrigerators, freezers) or electronics (computers, monitors, laptops, speakers, etc). If you have these items, leave them at the curb and the Public Works Department will pick them up next week.

Additionally, paint cans and hazardous waste are NOT permitted for pickup. Residents should contact the Department of Public Works at 908-322-7404 for further details on the disposal of these items.

The regularly scheduled brush and branch pickups will proceed this week for the north side of town, next week (Sept. 13) for the south side. Residents should separate brush and branches from storm debris.
