Fanwood Opens Charging Station, Cooling Center For Residents
Residents who still do not have power are invited to the Fanwood Carriage House if they need to charge a phone or want to cool off.
FANWOOD, NJ — Fanwood is inviting residents, who do not have power, to the Carriage House if they need to charge a phone or want to cool off.
The Fanwood Carriage House is located next to Borough Hall at 75 North Martine Ave. Residents should first come to the Fanwood Police Department so that they can unlock the doors.
Residents are asked to wear a mask and social distance. Bottled water and outlets are available to charge phones or laptops.

As of Wednesday morning, more than 43,000 Union County residents and 179 Fanwood residents remain without power following Tropical Storm Isaias. Power could be restored as late as Monday at 3 p.m., according to PSE&G. Read More: 43K In Union County Still Without Power Wednesday After Storm
Temperatures are expected to hit a high of 88 on Wednesday and a low of 66 in the evening, according to the National Weather Service.
