Fanwood Police Make 3 Warrant Arrests

Fanwood Police arrested three people for having outstanding warrants recently.

FANWOOD, NJ — Fanwood Police arrested three people for having outstanding warrants recently.

Fanwood Police blotter:

On Oct. 12 at 12:50 p.m.: Christina Bello, 26, of Jackson was arrested following a motor vehicle stop at Terrill Road and East 2nd Street for a motor vehicle violation. A check of the driver, Bello, shows an active warrant out of Fanwood and Howell. Bello was arrested, processed and released by both Municipal Courts.

On Oct. 12 at 4:30 p.m.: Lawrence Smith Jr., 55, of Roselle was arrested following a motor vehicle stop at Terrill Road and Edwin Place. The Officer did a random license plate check and the registered owner has an active warrant out of Essex County. The officer confirmed that the driver, Smith, is the registered owner and the warrant was confirmed active. Smith was arrested, processed and turned over to Essex County Sheriff's Office.

On Oct. 13 at 2:45 p.m.: Emanuel Goodman, 30, of Scotch Plains was arrested following a motor vehicle stop at South Avenue and Terrill Road for a motor vehicle violation. While the officer was speaking with the driver, Goodman, he could detect a strong odor of marijuana. Goodman was asked to exit the vehicle so the officer could conduct a search. The officer located the suspected marijuana and Goodman was placed under arrest, processed and charged with possession of marijuana. Goodman also had an active Watchung warrant. Goodman was released pending his court hearing in both municipal courts.
