Fanwood-Scotch Plains YMCA to hold Swim Team Tryouts in July

The Fanwood-Scotch Plains YMCA will hold Swim Team Tryouts this July for the 2022-2023 Fall/Winter Swim Team season. The Y’s swim team is a year round competitive program offering high quality professional coaching and technique instruction. The goal of the Y’s swim team is to provide every member with an opportunity to improve swimming skills and achieve success at their level of ability, from novice to international competitor.

Tryouts will be held at the Fanwood-Scotch Plains YMCA on the following dates:

• Monday, July 11 from 4:00-6:00pm
• Thursday, July 14 from 5:00-7:00pm
• Tuesday, July 26 from 4:00-6:00pm

The tryout session will run for two hours. Each session will begin with a short in-water clinic with Fanwood-Scotch Plains YMCA coaches, followed by time trails, Swimmers should plan to attend the entire session.

All interested swimmers must register at least 24 hours in advance of each tryout date at the Fanwood-Scotch Plains YMCA Welcome Center, 1340 Martine Avenue in Scotch Plains. There is a $15 registration fee per swimmer.
