Fanwood-Scotch Plains YMCA Hosts HEALTHY KIDS DAY

The Fanwood-Scotch Plains YMCA is hosting the Y’s annual Healthy Kids Day® on April 27 at 12-3pm. located at 1340 Martine Avenue, Scotch Plains. This free, annual event features a variety of family friendly activities to encourage healthy kids, healthy families and a healthy start to the summer season. Sponsored nationally by Peanuts, Healthy Kids Day’s mission is to turn fun and play into lifelong memories.

Some featured activities include a bounce house, obstacle course, face paint, make your own projects, gardening seeds starter plant, family game challenge, do-a-dot art, crafts, healthy snacks and more! “It is so important for kids to stay active over the summer, both physically and mentally,” said Katie Lizer,

School Age Child Care & Camp Director. “At the Y, we believe in providing resources for families to create healthy habits, no matter the time of year. Healthy Kids Day is a fun, free communitywide event that encourages families to take advantage of all the great summer activities the Y has to offer.”

Throughout the weekend (April 26-28), the Fanwood-Scotch Plains YMCA will be offering a special joiner’s fee of only $20.24 for new members. Community members interested in joining the FSPY can take a tour of the facility throughout the weekend with this joiner fee special promotion of $20.24. The special joiner’s fee promotion will help support the 2024 Annual Campaign, Find Your Reason to Give. The goal is to raise $150,000 to support the Y’s financial assistance program. Donations to the Fanwood-Scotch Plains YMCA help ensure that life-changing programs and services are available to every member in our community, regardless of their ability to pay.
