SCOTCH PLAINS, NJ — A Fanwood woman suffered serious injuries following an alleged assault at her home Wednesday morning, according to Captain Kevin Grimmer, the officer-in-charge of the Fanwood Police Department.Shortly after 10 a.m. on Wednesday, police were called to a private residence on McDermott Place where they found an injured adult woman and an adult man, according to the preliminary investigation.The woman was taken to a local hospital for emergency medical care, while the man was taken into custody without incident.This investigation remains ongoing, and criminal charges are pending.Have a news tip?
