Fanwood's First Eye Care Business Opens
Fanwood Eye Care opened at 246 South Ave., across from the train station in the Fanwood Crossing II complex.
FANWOOD, NJ — Fanwood's first eye care business opened on Saturday and held a ribbon cutting celebration with borough officials, including Mayor Colleen Mahr.
Owned by Dr. Kathy Shin, Fanwood Eye Care opened at 246 South Ave., across from the train station in the Fanwood Crossing II complex. It offers eye exams, glasses and contacts all in one shop.
“We are very excited to welcome you and your business to Fanwood,” said Mahr.

Dr. Shin, her husband Joe and sons Jacob, 4, and Jaxon, 2, currently live in Cliffside Park, Bergen County, but are actively looking to relocate to the Fanwood/Scotch Plains area.
Also on hand for the ribbon cutting, organized by the Greater Westfield Area Chamber of Commerce, were Councilman Tom Kranz and Westfield Chamber Executive Director Gene Jannotti.
