FEMA Opens Disaster Recovery Center In Scotch Plains

The FEMA team is located in the Scotch Plains Municipal Lot and will assist residents and businesses impacted by Tropical Storm Ida.

SCOTCH PLAINS, NJ — The Federal Emergency Management Agency Disaster Survivor Assistance Team has set up shop in Scotch Plains to assist residents and businesses impacted by Tropical Storm Ida.

The team will be in the Scotch Plains Municipal Lot next to Town Hall at 430 Park Ave. through Saturday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.

  • How to register for FEMA assistance
  • Check the status of an application already in the system
  • Make minor changes to applications
  • Give information on making temporary repairs to disaster-damaged houses
  • Pay for a short-term place to live while permanent repairs are being made
  • Help with serious, disaster-related needs not covered by other programs
