Fire, Car Burglary, Theft, Fraud Reported In Scotch Plains
Scotch Plains Police report multiple warrant arrests recently.
SCOTCH PLAINS, NJ — Scotch Plains Police report a multiple warrant arrests, fraud and burglary incidents recently.
Scotch Plains Police Blotter:
On July 25: The manager at the Scotch Plains Exxon located at 1800 Rt. 22 reported a fraud. Two black men in a blue vehicle attempted to pay for gas with a counterfeit $100 bill. When questioned they fled onto Rt.22
eastbound. This is under investigation.

On July 25: Shaleke A. Fisher, 40, of Piscataway was arrested on an active warrant out of the Union County Sheriff’s Department during a motor vehicle stop conducted by Patrolman Charles Tripet. He was transported to headquarters and processed.
On July 27: Dante Purdue, 26, of Scotch Plains was arrested on an outstanding warrant out of the Atlantic County Sheriff’s Department during an investigation conducted by Lt. Al Sellinger and Patrolman Zack VonLangen. He was transported to headquarters and processed.

On July 28: A Somerville resident reported the theft of their Iphone 8 from Pantagis Renaissance located on Park Ave. Victim was working an event at that location when theft occurred.
On July 30: A resident on Mountain Ave. reported a fraud. Someone made unauthorized charges on the victim’s credit card.
On July 31: Annakecia R. Scott, 30, of Jersey City was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana during a motor vehicle stop conducted by Patrolman Mike Smolinski. She was transported to headquarters and processed.
On July 31: A resident in the 500 block of Victor St. reported a theft. The resident states someone opened a package that was delivered to them and removed some items.
On Aug. 1: Dejah M. Davenport-Neal, 20, of Jersey City was arrested on outstanding warrants out of Carteret and Jersey City during a motor vehicle stop conducted by Patrolman Zack VonLangen. He was transported to headquarters and processed.
On Aug. 1: A resident on Hamlette Place reported the theft of their front license plate and EZ pass from their vehicle. Plate has been entered stolen.
On Aug. 1: A resident on Hill Top Rd. reported a fraud. Someone gained access to their credit card information and made unauthorized on-line purchases. This is under investigation.
On Aug. 2: Markel S. Johnson, 20, of East Orange was arrested on outstanding warrants out of Kenilworth and Union by Patrolman Mike Baltazar. He was transported to headquarters and processed.
On Aug. 2: Devon L. Tordilio, 31, of Plainfield was arrested on an outstanding warrant out of Scotch Plains during a motor vehicle stop conducted by Patrolman Gerard Rites and Mike Baltazar. He was transported to headquarters and processed.
On Aug. 3: Michael R. Holder, 41, of Plainfield was arrested on an outstanding warrant out of the Joint Court of the Delaware Valley during a motor vehicle stop conducted by Patrolman Gerard Rites and Mike Baltazar. He was transported to headquarters and processed.
On Aug. 3: Robert C. Moskal, 31, of Scotch Plains was arrested on an outstanding warrant out of Parsippany Troy Hills by Patrolman Rich Sopko. He was processed and posted bail.
On Aug. 3: Kyra A. Price, 19, of Plainfield was arrested on an outstanding warrant out of Scotch Plains by Patrolman Bryan Frew. She was processed and released.
On Aug. 4: Lamont Cruse, 18, of Scotch Plains NJ was arrested on an outstanding warrant out of Scotch Plains by Patrolman Zack VonLangen. He was transported to headquarters and processed.
On Aug. 4: A Scotch Plains resident reported a burglary to her vehicle at the YMCA located at 1340 Martine Ave. in Scotch Plains. Victim exited the facility and found her window broken and her purse stolen. This is under investigation.
On Aug. 5: Officers responded to a home on Duncan Drive on a report of a fire. A lawnmower caught fire inside a shed. The Scotch Plains Fire Department responded and brought the situation under control. No injuries reported.
On Aug. 5: Nicholas E. Sarro, 36, of Clark was arrested on an outstanding warrant out of Livingston during a motor vehicle stop conducted by Patrolman Scott Leyden. He was transported to headquarters and processed.
