Forsgate Country Club Named a Sectional Qualifying Site for

the 2019 U.S. Women’s Open

Monroe Township, NJ (April 8, 2019)—Forsgate Country Club’s historic Banks Course will serve as a Sectional Qualifying site for the 2019 U.S. Women’s Open on April 23 as recently announced by the USGA. Designed in 1931 by architect Charles “Steam Shovel” Banks, the 6,904-yard, par-71 course is renowned for its steep and deeply recessed bunkers and enormous, undulating greens.

Twenty-five 36-hole sectional qualifiers will be conducted across the country for the 74th U.S. Women’s Open Championship which is scheduled for May 30- June 2 at the Country Club of Charleston, South Carolina.

“We are looking forward to hosting the U.S. Women’s Open Sectional Qualifier here at Forsgate, and I know the players will love the Banks Course. I can’t wait to watch some great golf and the members will be able to see some outstanding talent,” said Forsgate’s Director of Golf, Carolyn McKenzie Andrews.

Later this season, Forsgate Country Club is scheduled to host the AJGA on May 3-5 and the Met Open qualifier on July 22.
