Fraud, Shoplifting, Burglary Reported In Scotch Plains
A Hispanic man is wanted in connection with a shoplifting at QuickChek, police report.
SCOTCH PLAINS, NJ — Multiple reports of fraud, shoplifting, burglary and more were reported last week in Scotch Plains.
Scotch Plains Police blotter:
On Jan. 1: Alexander J. Campbell, 18, of Westfield was arrested on a disorderly person’s offense by Patrolman Chris Ostrowski after responding to a suspicious persons call on Arrowwood Drive. Campbell was transported to headquarters and processed.

On Jan. 1: Jacquelin E. Shortlidge, 32, of Old Bridge was arrested for trespassing and resisting arrest during a disturbance call on Park View Drive by Patrolman Chris Ostrowski. Shortlidge was transported to headquarters, processed and transported to the Union County Jail.
On Jan. 2: A resident on Aberdeen Road reported a fraud. Someone accessed the victim’s credit card information and made unauthorized charges.

On Jan. 2: James A. Brice, 55, of Roberta, Georgia was arrested on an outstanding warrant out of Irvington by Offier Tricia DiLollo. Brice was transported to headquarters and processed.
On Jan. 3: The management at the Quick Chek located at 1928 Westfield Ave. reported a shoplifting. A Hispanic man was confronted by store employees and fled the area. Officers checked for the suspect in the area with negative results. This remains under investigation.
On Jan. 3: A resident in the 1800 block of Raritan Road reported a fraud. Someone accessed the victim’s credit card account and made unauthorized charges.
On Jan. 4: A resident on Canterbury Drive reported a fraud. Someone made unauthorized charges on one of the victim’s credit card accounts.
On Jan. 6: A burglary was reported at a business located on Park Avenue. A front window was broken and items were removed from the business. This remains under investigation.
On Jan. 6: A resident on Burnham Court reported a fraud. Someone made unauthorized credit card charges to the victim’s account.
