Olympian and war hero Louis Zamperini survived in a raft for 47 days after a near-fatal plane crash in WWII, only to be caught by the Japanese Navy and sent to a prisoner-of-war camp. Based on the book by Laura Hillenbrand.

July 29: Race (R, 120 min)

This drama based on true events focuses on legendary black athlete Jesse Owens and his inspiring journey to overcome racism at home and abroad, culminating in his triumphant track-and-field performance at the 1936 Berlin Olympics.

August 5: The Hunger Games (PG-13, 142 min)

In the post-apocalyptic nation of Panem, Katniss Everdeen volunteers to take her sister’s place in the televised event in which one boy and one girl from each of the twelve districts are chosen to fight to the death until one victor remains.

August 12: Catching Fire (PG-13, 146 min)

This is the second film in The Hunger Games series.

August 19: Mockingjay Part I (PG-13, 123 min)

This is the third film in The Hunger Games series.

August 26: Mockingjay Part II (PG-13, 136 min)

This is the final film in The Hunger Games series.
