FSPY Swim Team has Successful Weekend in and out of the Pool

The Fanwood Scotch Plains YMCA (FSPY) Swim Team had a busy Saturday on October 29 as Swim Team members hosted a clothing drive to raise funds for the team. They also had their first dual meets of the season for the Girls Black and Boys Black teams. Both meets were against Lakeland Hills YMCA (LHY) with FSPY swimmers performing well across all age groups.

The Girls and Boys Black teams are off this coming weekend while the Girls and Boys Red teams kick off their dual meet season against Randolph YMCA (RANY) at the County College of Morris on Saturday, November 5.

The clothing drive also was a huge success with bags of donated items lining the FSPY parking lot. The team would like to thank family, friends and neighbors for their donations. The show of support for the team’s fundraising efforts was remarkable and greatly appreciated.
