FSPY Swimmer Clare Logan Invited to USA Swimming National Select Camp

Fanwood-Scotch Plains YMCA swimmer Clare Logan was selected to participate in USA Swimming’s National Select Camp, which is taking place October 6-9 at the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colorado. The elite training camp features 48 of the nation’s fastest emerging female swimmers.

“We are extremely proud to have Clare representing the Fanwood-Scotch Plains YMCA Swim Team at the National Select Camp,” said Fanwood-Scotch Plains YMCA Head Coach, Chris Karelus. “This honor reflects the hard work she has put into training this year and is a great step toward a bright future in swimming.”

This camp is designed for the top USA Swimming member athletes in the nation to have a once-in-a-lifetime camp experience. Swimmers are selected from the USA Swimming’s SWIMS database of top times in the country. During the camp, these swimmers will learn about post-race recovery, drug and supplement rules, psychological training skills, nutrition, race strategy and more.
