FSPY Swimmers Make Their Mark across 2 Meets over 2 Weekends

Swimmers from the Fanwood-Scotch Plains YMCA (FSPY) Swim Team participated in two invitational meets over two weekends. The 12 and under swimmers and several 13 and overs represented the team at the Ice Cube Invitational hosted by the Madison Area YMCA (MAY) on December 16-18, 2022. After a short holiday break, swimmers returned to the pool at the Greater Somerset County YMCA (GSCY)-sponsored New Year’s Splash Invitational in New Providence, NJ on January 6-8, 2023.

These busy weekends saw great swims and personal bests for swimmers across all age groups. Highlights and top 16 scoring swims are:

The Boys 11-12 relay team of A. Balakrishnan, Muhammad Sayani, J. Fevrier, and D. Mora placed 3rd in the 200 Medley Relay. The Girls 11-12 relay team of R. Ferreiro, J. Yip, C. Keeler and M. Ferreiro took 2nd place in the 200 Medley Relay with the 2nd FSPY relay team of S. Bogatz, L. Magee, E. Lubenow and J. Bickoff came in at 7th place.
