What experience do you have that would help you serving on the school board?
While in my first year on the BOE I served on the policy and facility committees. I was instrumental in working with the district on focusing on school security and hiring class 3 officers and the SRO in the HS and additional social services for our students in the lower grades.
Why are you running for the school board? What issues would you like to see addressed if elected?
I would love to continue our focus on our students and administrators remaining safe in our school district. Health and Wellness is in our strategic plan for 2018 and I would love to see that take off as well. As Board members we are tasked with being educational leaders and stewards of the taxpayer's resources. I am committed to finding a responsible balance between investing in our children's future and managing our tax dollars wisely.
