- An introduction to running for newcomers
- Knowledge of fundamentals including proper techniques and running style
- Confidence and team building skills
- Positive environment for motivation and unity among teammates
- Goal setting and activation for both individuals and as a team
Runners experience a positive and structured environment to learn the core essentials and work towards individualized goals. The skills learned and perfected will help many runners “race” right into high school track programs.
Coach Tim Coons says, “As a coach of the program for the last 4+ years, I work directly with the kids discovering where they need to grow and help them reach those goals. One of the highlights of coaching this program is witnessing the happiness when a runner achieves their goal as well as the enthusiasm they share for their teammates when they experience success.”
