A home burglary, car fire and fraud were among the incidents reported recently in Scotch Plains.

SCOTCH PLAINS, NJ — A home burglary, car fire and fraud were among the incidents reported recently in Scotch Plains.

Scotch Plains Police blotter:

On Feb. 16: A resident on Ditzel Farm Court reported harassing emails stating if they did not receive a Bitcoin payment, sensitive information would be released online.

On Feb. 17: A resident in the 1400 block of Martine Avenue reported a package stolen from their front steps.

On Feb. 18: A business located on East Second Street reported the theft of a 2007 Ford F-350 with an attached plow during the overnight hours. The vehicle has been entered stolen.

On Feb. 18: Officers responded to the Ashbrook Nursing Home located at 1610 Raritan Road on a report of a vehicle fire. Upon arrival they located a Nissan Altima in the driveway with the flames coming from under the hood. Officers were able to extinguish the fire. No injuries reported.

On Feb. 18: A resident on Maple Hill Road reported fraudulent activity on a bank account.

On Feb. 20: A resident in the 1200 block of Terrill Road reported a theft.

On Feb. 22: A resident in the 500 block of Westfield Road reported identity theft.

On Feb. 22: A resident on Wilshire Run reported a burglary to their home.
