Indoor Triathlon to be held March 31 at FSPY

Event is open to those ages 10 and up who want to try something new

Break out of your usual workout routine and participate in the Fanwood-Scotch Plains YMCA’s Indoor Triathlon held Sunday, March 31 from 7-10am. The event includes a 10-minute swim, 30-minute bike ride and 20-minute run and is held in partnership with USA Triathlon (USAT).

The Y’s Tri is open to ages 10 to adult (participants must be 4’10” to participate.) Children under 12 need to be accompanied by an adult. Check-in begins at 6:30am and start times will be given out prior to the race.

The event is open to the public and all proceeds benefit LIVESTRONG® at the YMCA, a program for cancer survivors that helps them heal in mind, body and spirit. Registration fee is $35 for USAT members and $50 for non-USAT members.

For more information on the triathlon, please contact Donna Peart at dpeart@fspymca.org. Registration for the event can be done at the Fanwood-Scotch Plains YMCA’s Welcome Center. The Y is located at 1340 Martine Avenue in Scotch Plains.

All guests ages 18 and over participating in the triathlon are asked to bring a valid, government-issued photo ID to enter the YMCA building.
