Kean University, UCC To Close Early Wednesday

UNION COUNTY, NJ — Union County College and Kean University will both close early on Wednesday.

UCC will close at 1:30 p.m. while all Kean classes and activities are canceled after 12:30 p.m. Kean administrative offices will close at 2 p.m.

Multiple school districts in the area are also having an early dismissal including: Clark, Garwood, New Providence, Springfield, Berkeley Heights, Mountainside, Scotch Plains and Fanwood.

Governor Phil Murphy has declared a state of emergency and a commercial truck ban on state highways. There is a possibility of 2 to 5 inches of snow and freezing rain expected and a winter weather advisory has been issued in all 21 New Jersey counties, with the majority of the snow falling between 2 and 5 p.m. (See Related: Hour-By-Hour Forecast Of NJ Winter Weather)
