'The Last Jewish Gangster': Author To Discuss Book Jan. 7

Author Myron Sugerman will discuss how the history of the mob and the history of Jews in America are intertwined at Temple Sholom.

SCOTCH PLAINS, NJ — The Eitz Chayim Adult Education Committee of Temple Sholom will host “The Last Jewish Gangster,” an evening with author Myron Sugerman, on Jan. 7 at 7 p.m.

Sugerman will discuss how the history of the mob and the history of Jews in America are intertwined. His recently released book, "The Last Jewish Gangster from Meyer to Myron," traces history from the earliest days of the Mafia to the present day.

Sugerman addresses the Mob from a Jewish viewpoint with stories gleaned from his firsthand experiences and family connections with some of the most infamous Jewish mobsters. Copies of his book will be available for purchase on site by check or cash.

Admission is free and open to the public. The event will be held at Temple Sholom, 1925 Lake Ave., Scotch Plains.
