On Thursday, May 16 at 7 pm, theater historian John Kenrick will present "The Legacy of Fiddler on the Roof."

In honor of Jewish American Heritage Month, the Scotch Plains Public Library has been examining the phenomenon of Fiddler on the Roof from a variety of vantage points.
On Thursday, May 16 at 7 pm, theater historian John Kenrick will present “The Legacy of Fiddler on the Roof,” digging deep into Sholem Aleichem’s short stories about a Jewish milkman in a Russian shtetl (small town) and how they became a lasting worldwide hit.
Kenrick is the creator of Musicals101.com and author of Musical Theater: A History. He is also an adjunct faculty member at New York University, Steinhardt School and the New School.
