Lifestyle Studio of Scotch Plains hosts Cut-a-thon Event to Support Mental Health

Kristian Bunales and Kathleen Libatique, owners of Lifestyle Studio, recently held a “cut-a-thon” event to raise awareness of the importance of mental health. In addition to haircuts and styling, the festivities featured food and music provided by area businesses, including Pour Tuga Coffee House, The Box food truck and DJ Robo Joe from Uncrowned Sounds. Proceeds from the event, over $1200, were donated to the Mental Health Association in New Jersey to support efforts to increase access to mental healthcare for those in need. Lifestyle Studio is located at 1819 E. 2nd St., Scotch Plains.

The Mental Health Association in New Jersey is a statewide non-profit organization that strives for children and adults to achieve victory over mental health and substance use disorders through advocacy, education, training, and services. It is headquartered in Union County, with additional offices in Atlantic, Hudson and Ocean Counties and affiliates in Essex, Monmouth, Morris, Passaic Counties.
