Man Arrested For Sleeping Naked In Scotch Plains Parking Lot
Residents were also evacuated from an apartment building on Park Avenue for a fire, police report.

SCOTCH PLAINS, NJ — A naked Union County man was arrested for lewdness in Scotch Plains.
Patrolman Dominick Luciano responded to the municipal parking lot on Bartle Avenue on a report of a man sleeping in his vehicle without clothes on, Scotch Plains Police report.
Jeremy Dowell, 50, of Plainfield was arrested and charged with lewdness on May 20. He was tansported to headquarters and processed.

On May 14: Khaleef R. Chiles, 36, of Plainfield was arrested on an outstanding warrant out of Plainfield during a motor vehicle stop conducted by Patrolman Charles Tripet. He was transported to headquarters and

On May 14: Kyra A. Price, 19, of Plainfield was arrested on an outstanding warrant out of Plainfield during a motor vehicle stop conducted by Patrolman Rich Sopko. He was transported to headquarters and processed.
On May 14: A resident in the 1500 block of East Second St. reported a car burglary. Vehicle was entered during the overnight hours.
On May 15: Corey Robinson, 27, of Newark was arrested on outstanding warrants out of Newark. Also arrested was Rajorl Waters, 26, of East Orange on outstanding warrants out of Livingston. The arrests were a result of a motor vehicle stop conducted by Patrolman Damian Serafin.
On May 18 at approximately 1:24 a.m.: Patrolman Gerard Rites and Ed Budzinski were dispatched to 427 Park Ave. on a reported structure fire. They located a heavy smoke condition coming from the roof. The apartments in the area were evacuated and the Scotch Plains Fire Department responded. The businesses affected were the Winter Hill Antiques and the Osaka and Main Star restaurants. The fire department deemed the incident accidental. No injuries reported.
On May 18: A resident in the 2400 block of Allwood Road reported a fraud. Someone gained access to their credit card information and made a fraudulent purchase. The incident is under investigation.
On May 19: Isiah B. Cruz, 27, of Rahway was arrested on an outstanding warrant out of Linden during a motor vehicle stop conducted by Patrolman Devon Turner. He was transported to headquarters and processed.
