Man Charged In Daytime Scotch Plains Home Burglary

Steven A. Saulter, 51, of Teaneck was arrested following a month-long investigation with the help of Mountainside and Bergen County PO.

SCOTCH PLAINS, NJ — A Bergen County man has been charged in connection with a daytime burglary of a Scotch Plains home in January.

On March 18, Steven A. Saulter, 51, of Teaneck was arrested and charged with burglary and theft following a month’s long investigation involving the Mountainside Police Department and the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office.

On Jan. 11, a Fawn Ridge Drive resident reported the burglary where the rear door to the home was forced open. The burglary occurred during the daytime hours, police report.

Saulter was processed and is currently incarcerated in the Bergen County Jail.
