NJ Transit ID's Man Killed By Train In Union County

The train was on its way to Raritan.

UPDATE: Anthony A. Lewis, 55 of Plainfield, was killed, according to NJ Transit.


PLAINFIELD, NJ — A man was hit and killed by a train on Monday at the Plainfield railway station, New Jersey Transit said.

Raritan Valley Line train 5523 was scheduled to arrive at Raritan at 2:42 p.m. after leaving from Newark Penn Station at 1:38 p.m.

At 2:11 p.m., the man was struck in Plainfield.
