Mask Requirement Returns At All Scotch Plains Township Buildings

Scotch Plains returned to a mask requirement inside all Township buildings for both vaccinated and unvaccinated people.

SCOTCH PLAINS, NJ — All vaccinated and unvaccinated people are now required to mask up when entering any Scotch Plains Township municipal building including the library.

The decision followed a consultation with health department professionals last week due to the high transmission rates of the coronavirus because of the Delta variant, according to the Scotch Plains Library.

As of Friday, 67 percent of Scotch Plains residents have been fully vaccinated, according to the New Jersey Department of Health.
