May Book Clubs at the Scotch Plains Public Library

Join fellow readers for a discussion of A Man Called Ove on May 1 and Everything I Never Told You on May 16.

On Monday, May 1 at 7:00 PM, the Evening Book Club will be meeting to discuss A Man Called Ove by Fredrik Backman. In this bestselling and delightfully quirky debut novel from Sweden, a grumpy yet loveable man finds his solitary world turned on its head when a boisterous young family moves in next door.

On Tuesday, May 16 at 1:00 PM, the Afternoon Book Club will be meeting to discuss Everything I Never Told You by Celeste Ng. A profoundly moving story of family, secrets, and longing, Everything I Never Told You is both a gripping page-turner and a sensitive family portrait, uncovering the ways in which mothers and daughters, fathers and sons, and husbands and wives struggle, all their lives, to understand one another.

Scotlib’s book clubs are free and open to interested members of the public.
