Multiple Car Burglaries Reported In Scotch Plains
Fraud and theft of gas was also reported in the township recently.
SCOTCH PLAINS, NJ — Several vehicles were burglarized recently in Scotch Plains, police said.
The burglaries were reported on July 8 to vehicles on Farmingdale Road during the overnight hours, police said.
This remains under investigation.

On July 9: A resident on Spruce Mill Lane reported fraudulent activity on a credit account. Under investigation.

On July 10: Jason Okoro, 29, of Scotch Plains, was arrested on an active warrant out of New Brunswick by Patrolman Rich Sopko. Okoro was processed at headquarters and turned over to New Brunswick police department.
On July 11: A resident on Farley Avenue reported fraudulent activity regarding an online purchase. Under investigation.
On July 12: The management at the Sunoco gas station located at 1746 Route 22 reported the theft of gas. Two men in a red Infiniti requested gas and fled without paying. Under investigation.
