Multiple Thefts Reported In Scotch Plains
A Scotch Plains local was also arrested for possession of marijuana, according to the police blotter.
SCOTCH PLAINS, NJ — Multiple thefts were reported in Scotch Plains last week, according to the police blotter.
Scotch Plains Police Blotter:
On July 16: A resident of Ramapo Way reported the theft of several bicycles from their front yard. Theft occurred at approximately 10 a.m.

On July 18: A resident on Jacobs Lane reported the theft of their front license plate from their vehicle. Unknown when theft occurred. The plate has been entered stolen.
On July 18: A resident on Martine Ave. reported a theft. Victim received a postal delivery and noticed the box was damaged. Victim stated a Prada purse valued at $1,000 was missing.

On July 18: Quame Dobbs, 28, of Newark was arrested on an outstanding warrant out of Scotch Plains by Patrolman Rich Sopko. He was processed and transported to Union County Jail.
On July 19: Jason B. Beene, 41, of Westfield was arrested and charged with driving under the influence during a suspicious vehicle investigation conducted by Officer Tricia DiLoLLo. He was transported to headquarters and processed.
On July 20: A resident on Hidden Meadow Dr. reported a fraud. Someone accessed the victim’s bank account information without their permission. This remains under investigation.
On July 21: Nicholas A. Ferreira, 27 of Edison was arrested and charged with obstruction of justice,
possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a hypodermic needle during a suspicious person’s
investigation conducted by Patrolman Dom Luciano. He was transported to headquarters and processed.
On July 22: Jordan Jones, 23, of Dunellen was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana. Also arrested was Karl Williams, 21, of Scotch Plains also charged with possession of marijuana. Both arrests were the result of a suspicious person’s investigation conducted by Sgt. Brian Hayeck and Patrolman Joe Kostecki. They were transported to headquarters and processed.
