Outdoor Summer Movie Series Returns To Fanwood

FANWOOD, NJ — Fanwood Recreation is bringing back its annual Movies Under the Stars series with free outdoor movie nights at La Grande Park this week

The event series will be back on June 30 and continue every Tuesday evening for seven weeks.

Movies will be shown on a 16-foot inflatable outdoor screen and begin at 8:30 p.m. at the start of the series, moving to 8 p.m. for the final showing. Attendees are encouraged to bring blankets or low beach chairs.

The lineup includes:

• June 30: The Sandlot (1993), celebrating the nation's 250th birthday with a July 4th classic
• July 7: Dog Man (2025)
• July 14: Snow White (2025)
• July 21: Sonic the Hedgehog 3 (2024)
• July 28: How to Train Your Dragon (2025)
• Aug. 4: A Minecraft Movie (2025)
• Aug. 11: Wicked for Good (2025)

All events are free and open to the public.

Organizers note that movies are subject to change, and in the event of rain, screenings will generally be postponed to the following evening, except for Zootopia 2, which has a rain date of Aug. 18.
