Patches Is Scotch Plains-Fanwood's Pet Of The Week

SCOTCH PLAINS/FANWOOD, NJ — Meet Patches! She has been chosen as Scotch Plains-Fanwood Patch's Pet Of The Week.

"This is Patches. She will be five years old on March 31! She hates going for walks unless it includes a car ride first. She enjoys going to the beach and long walks in Tamaques Park. Although her favorite Park is Nomahagen Park because she loves smelling the donuts from Dreyer Farms.

She loves to dress up and loves people so be sure to pet her when you see her around Scotch Plains (her hometown). She especially loves belly rubs."

Participating in the Pet of the Week happenings is simple: submit your nomination by emailing alexis.tarrazi@patch.com. Be sure to include a photograph or two of your pet, a paragraph about what makes him or her so great, and the part of town you're from. You can choose to include your name, but you don't need to. Then just keep an eye out for a photo of your pet on the Patch!

The photo can be of a present pet, or it can be a baby picture of the adult pet you're so proud of today.

Additionally the chosen Pet of the Week will receive 20 percent off any single item in Dukes's Pet Den in Scotch Plains. And winners can also bring their pet into the store, located at 417 Park Ave., in Scotch Plains for a picture. Duke's will put them up on their Facebook page as well.
