Penny Lane And Maggie Are Scotch Plains' Pets Of The Week

SCOTCH PLAINS/FANWOOD, NJ — Meet Penny Lane and Maggie! They have been chosen as Scotch Plains-Fanwood Patch's Pets Of The Week.

"Penny Lane and Maggie (left to right) are a package deal and never leave each other’s sides. They are the cutest duo, always sleeping next to each other like they are attached at the hip.

Since Maggie is an oldie (eight and a half years old) and Penny is only four, Penny will follow Maggie’s every move. They can’t go out in the rain or the dark without their rain coats, otherwise we wouldn’t be able to spot them when they wander off and catch a scent!

Basically, what makes these two so great is that they not only love each other so much and they have an unbreakable bond, but they give out so much love to everyone else! They are so sleepy and so cuddly and would make the greatest companions for anybody!"

Participating in the Pet of the Week happenings is simple: submit your nomination by emailing alexis.tarrazi@patch.com with subject line "Scotch Plains-Fanwood Pet Of The Week." Be sure to include a photograph or two of your pet, a paragraph about what makes him or her so great, and the town you're from.

You can choose to include your name, but you don't need to. Then just keep an eye out for a photo of your pet on the Patch!

The photo can be of a present pet, or it can be a baby picture of the adult pet you're so proud of today. All photos must be property of the submitter.

Additionally the chosen Pet of the Week will receive 20 percent off any single item in Dukes's Pet Den in Scotch Plains. And winners can also bring their pet into the store, located at 417 Park Ave., in Scotch Plains for a picture. Duke's will put them up on their Facebook page as well.
