Plainfield, NJ – August 11, 2020 – The Plainfield Public School District has postponed the Parents’ Listening Session scheduled for Thursday, August 13, 2020, at 6:30 p.m. until plans are finalized for the district’s re-opening of schools for the 2020-2021 School Year.

Dr. Diana Mitchell, Superintendent of Plainfield Public Schools, said, “Please know that our interest is with our students and their safety and the safety of our teachers, staff and our extended families and community. At this moment is premature for us to meet with parents and we ask for their continued patience during these unpredictable times. We thank Governor Phil Murphy for his leadership and we await further updates from his office and from the NJ Department of Education.”
