Register soon for the Y's before and after care programs
Community registration opens online March 29 at 9:00am
The Fanwood-Scotch Plains YMCA is gearing up for another year of fun, friends, learning and more in its before and after care programs. Registration for the 2022-2023 school year opens to the community on Tuesday, March 29 at 9:00am.
At that time, active FSPY members can register for before and after care online at fspymca.org/register under “Daxko Program Registration.” Not a Y member? You can join online at fspymca.org/join-the-y.
Spots are limited at each school and registration is on a first come, first served basis. Wait lists will be available for the Y’s before and after care programs as they work to accommodate as many families as possible.

For the 2022-2023 school year, the Y will be offering:
- Before and after care programs in each public elementary school in the Scotch Plains Fanwood School District.
- After care also will be held in the two public middle schools (there is no before care option at this time for middle school).
- Both before care and after care will be 5 days/full-time only with before care running from 7:00am until school start and after care running from the end of the school day until 6:30pm.
The Y’s before and after care programs are much more than a safe place to hang out with friends before and after school. They are fun and comprehensive programs that incorporate nine core content areas: Arts & Humanities, Service Learning, Character Development, Health, Wellness & Fitness, Homework Support, Literacy, Science & Technology, Service Learning, Social Competence and Conflict Resolution.
