Robbery Being Investigated By Fanwood Police

FANWOOD, NJ — A robbery is being investigated by the Fanwood Police Department that took place near the intersection of Forest Road and Pleasant Avenue on Friday around 9:20 p.m.

A man reportedly forced a juvenile male off of his bicycle and then fled the scene in an unknown direction, Fanwood Police Chief Richard Trigo reported.

The alleged robber may have rode the bike into downtown Scotch Plains on Park Avenue, Trigo said.

The suspect is described as a white man in his early 20s, 6'2,'' wearing a white tank top with red and blue stripes across it, as well as a white hat on backwards, Trigo said.
