Scotch Plains Cancels All After-School Activities Due to Nor'easter
Breaking: Scotch Plains public schools are preemptively canceling all afternoon activities due to the storm.

SCOTCH PLAINS, NJ — With 50 to 60 mph wind gusts Monday afternoon and some towns already reporting flooding, Scotch Plains public schools are preemptively canceling all afternoon activities, the school announced Monday.
Weather conditions are supposed to deteriorate over the course of the day Monday, and into the evening.
"The Board of Education has cancelled the usage of all gyms tonight, Monday, January 23. This includes the K-2 Grade Clinic and practices for 3rd to 8th graders. Please stay safe!" according to Scotch Plains, New Jersey.

The National Weather Service has issued a High Wind Warning for Central New Jersey starting Monday, Jan. 23 from 3 a.m. until 9 p.m. Winds are expected to gust as high as 55 mph with the strongest winds expected to occur during the day on Monday. Periods of heavy rain and possible flooding are also expected.
