Scotch Plains, Fanwood Named Among Best Places To Live In NJ

SCOTCH PLAINS/FANWOOD, NJ — Scotch Plains and Fanwood were named as one of the best places to live in New Jersey for 2020, according to Niche.com's latest "report card".

Fanwood was ranked as the 44th best place to live in New Jersey and Scotch Plains was ranked at 57.

Data compiler Niche assigned a grade, on an A+-to-D- scale, to almost every town in the state for its 2020 rankings of the "Best Places to Live" in New Jersey. It took several factors into consideration, such as the quality of local schools, crime rates, housing trends, employment statistics, and access to amenities.

Fanwood received an overall Niche grade of A+. Here's how Niche graded Fanwood in the following categories:
