SCOTCH PLAINS/FANWOOD, NJ — As the summer comes to an end you may want to mark your calendars for the first day of school in Scotch Plains and Fanwood— Sept. 5.

Here's a look at the Scotch Plains-Fanwood Regional School District's 2019-2020 calendar which includes important dates such as winter and spring vacations, religious holidays, federal holidays, early dismissals and parent-teacher conferences.

• 9/30: No School (Rosh Hashanah)

October

• 10/01: No School (Rosh Hashanah)
• 10/09: No School (Yom Kippur)
• 10/14: No School for Students (Columbus Day)/ Staff PD Day

November

• 11/5: Single Session Day (Election Day)
• 11/7 - 11/8: No School (NJEA Convention)
• 11/27: Single Session Day
• 11/28 - 11/29: No School (Thanksgiving Break)

December

• 12/23 - 12/31: No School (Winter Recess)

January

• 1/1: No School (New Year's Day)
• 1/20: No School (Martin Luther King Jr. Day)

February

• 2/14-2/17: No School (Presidents' Day)

April

• 4/6 - 4/10: No School (Spring Recess)

May

• 5/25: No School (Memorial Day)
• 5/22: Possible Give Back Day
• 5/26: Possible Give Back Day

June

• 6/22: Single Session Day
• 6/23: Single Session Day (Last Day of School/Graduation)
