Scotch Plains-Fanwood Schools Among State's Best, List Says

SCOTCH PLAINS, NJ — Schools in the Scotch Plains-Fanwood Regional School District and Union County VoTech schools were named on a new list compiled by Niche ranking the top schools in New Jersey at every grade level.

Niche.com, which specializes in all different types of rankings, including schools, has created a new list that is a bit different than the usual lists the company is known for. In this one, Niche has included both Public and Private Schools. That may not sound different than Niche's usual rankings but this list includes both private and public schools and also includes elementary, middle and high schools all in the same list. Please note that this is not a ranking, but a search list, where you can see and compare all schools grouped together, organized by Overall Grade.

Here are the Scotch Plains-based schools that made the list:

• Union County Magnet High School, Scotch Plains (public, 9-12)
• Academy for Allied Health Science, Scotch Plains (public, 9-12)
• Academy for Information Technology, Scotch Plains (public, 9-12)
• Union County Vocational-Technical High School, Scotch Plains (public, 9-12)
• Academy for Performing Arts, Scotch Plains (public, 9-12)
• Scotch Plains-Fanwood High School (public, 9-12)
• Terrill Middle School, Scotch Plains-Fanwood School District (public, 5-8)
• J. Ackerman Coles Elementary School, Scotch Plains-Fanwood School District (public, PK, K-4)
