Scotch Plains Home Entered, Vandalized: Police

Scotch Plains Police also reported making arrests on charges of driving under the influence, theft, fraud, drug possession and more.

SCOTCH PLAINS, NJ — A Scotch Plains was home was reportedly burglarized recently, according to the Scotch Plains Police blotter.

On April 2, an Acacia Road resident said entry was made to the home and the interior was vandalized. This remains under investigation.

On April 3: Blancsun Altidor, 24, of Newark was arrested on an active warrant out of East Orange
during a motor vehicle stop conducted by Patrolman Mike Smolinski and Patrolman Rich Hernandez. Also arrested was Amir N. Grant, 20, of Newark on an active warrant out of the Essex County Sheriff’s Department. Both parties were transported to headquarters and processed.

On April 4: Kalid M. Jackson, 22, of Edison was arrested for possession of marijuana and
possession of drug paraphernalia during a motor vehicle stop conducted by Patrolman Scott Leyden. Jackson was transported to headquarters and processed.

On April 4: Travone D. Cox, 26, of Plainfield was arrested on an active warrant out of Newark
during a motor vehicle stop conducted by Patrolman Mike Baltazar. Cox was transported to headquarters and processed.

On April 4: A resident on Rambling Drive reported a fraud. Victim stated there were unauthorized charges made on one of their credit cards. This remains under investigation.

On April 5: Manuel A. Arias, 35, of Newark was arrested for providing false information to Patrolman Rich Hernandez during a motor vehicle stop. He also had an active warrant out of Carteret. Arias was transported to headquarters and processed.

On April 5: Alexa Lopez, 21, of Jersey City was arrested on an outstanding warrant out of
Westfield during a motor vehicle stop conducted by Patrolman Mike Smolinski. Lopez was transported to headquarters and processed.

On April 7: A resident on Heather Lane reported a theft from their vehicle. The incident happened several days earlier. This remains under investigation.

On April 7: Jamil S. Coley, 43, of Coplay, Pennsylvania was arrested on active warrants out of Scotch Plains and Bridgewater by Patrolman. Alex Sanchez. Coley was processed at headquarters.
