Scotch Plains To Host Columbus Day Ceremony
The event will include live music and speakers on Saturday, Oct. 9.
SCOTCH PLAINS, NJ — A Columbus Day Ceremony will be held at the Alan M. Augustine Village Green on Saturday, Oct. 9.
Live music will begin at 9 a.m. performed by Mike Aromondo and the Metropolitan Italian Strolling Band.
The program will begin at 10 a.m. with Daniela Sellinger sharing an overview of her family's history in Scotch Plains. Former Governor Don DiFrancesco is the special guest.

The ceremony is sponsored by the Scotch Plains-Fanwood Chapter of UNICO and Scotch Plains Italian American Club to celebrate the Italian heritage of Scotch Plains.
