Scotch Plains Junior Woman’s Club Gets Ready for Town Wide Garage Sale

It's an annual rite of fall here in our towns: The Annual Scotch Plains-Fanwood Town Wide Garage Sale, sponsored by the GFWC Scotch Plains Junior Woman’s Club.

The year, the event takes place on Saturday, Sept. 22.

For the uninitiated, here's how it works:

• Residents hold their own sale and keep all profits. 
• Registration gets participants on a detailed map listing all homes and items for sale at each location. Maps are distributed for FREE in Scotch Plains and Fanwood. 
• The event will be heavily publicized via newspapers, local cable TV, signboards and flyers in both towns (plus on Patch!).

To participate, send a $20 check payable to:

Include the complete address and items for sale (for example: furniture, clothes, toys, etc.). Applications can also be picked up starting August 15 at the Scotch Plains Library and Fanwood Library. All applications must be received by Wednesday, September 12. 

Sunday, September 23 is the rain date.
