Scotch Plains Local Charged With Theft

A township home was also reportedly hit with numerous eggs recently.

SCOTCH PLAINS, NJ — A Scotch Plains local was among those arrested recently in the township.

On Feb. 15: Dallas K. Stokes, 20, of Scotch Plains was arrested for theft following an investigation conducted by Detective Dave Belford and Investigator Melissa Rivera. Stokes was transported to headquarters and processed.

On Feb. 12: A resident on Flanders Avenue reported their vehicle burglarized overnight. The resident observed a tall black man enter the vehicle and then flee the area. Officers were unable to locate the suspect. This remains under investigation.

On Feb. 13: A resident on Mountain Avenue reported a fraud. Someone opened a cellular account in the victim’s name. This remains under investigation.

On Feb. 13: A resident on Martine Avenue reported a criminal mischief to their vehicle during the overnight hours.

On Feb. 16: A resident on Inverness Drive reported a criminal mischief. The home had been hit with numerous eggs the night prior which caused damage to the siding. This remains under investigation.

On Feb. 16: Andre L. Davis, 32, of Elizabeth was arrested for unlawful possession of a firearm and terroristic threats during a disturbance at a home on Richmond St by Patrolman Joe Kostecki. Davis was transported to headquarters, processed and transported to Union County Jail.

On Feb. 17: Miguel A. Perez-Monterrosa, 30, of Dunellen, was arrested for driving under the influence during a motor vehicle stop conducted by Patrolman Mike Baltazar. Perez-Monterrosa was transported to headquarters and processed.

On Feb. 17: David T. Drake, 26, of Newark was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia during a motor vehicle stop conducted by Patrolman Gerard Rites and Patrolman Alex Sanchez. Drake was transported to headquarters and processed.
