Man Stalks Scotch Plains Officer, Goes To Cop's Home After Being Charged With DUI: Police

After being charged, Kevin Kennedy Jr., 31 of Scotch Plains, called and went to the cop's home, police said.

SCOTCH PLAINS, NJ — A Scotch Plains man, who was charged in a DUI crash, called and went to the officer's home afterward, police said.

On Friday, Oct. 15, Kevin Kennedy Jr., 31 of Country Club Lane in Scotch Plains was arrested for driving under the influence, harassment, disorderly conduct and stalking, said Scotch Plains Captain Jeffrey J. Briel.

Kennedy, who was involved in a car crash earlier in the day, made phone calls to the officer's house who made the charges against Kennedy, said Briel.

Kennedy also went to the officer's house and "exhibited alarming behavior", said Briel.

While officers were working on the incident, Kennedy drove into the back lot of police headquarters through barricades to confront officers behind headquarters, said Briel.

Kennedy was arrested without incident, processed, and taken to the Union County Jail.
