Scotch Plains' Pizzeria Shut Down by NJ Dept of Taxation

Scotch Plains, NJ -- There is one less Italian restaurant open in Scotch Plains.

Maria's Restaurant and Pizzeria, located at 381 Park Avenue has been closed down.

Red stickers can be seen on the windows stating the restaurant was closed by the State of New Jersey Department of Taxation.

A call to the health officer confirmed Maria's was not shut down due to health reasons.

Calls to the restaurant remained unanswered.
